2020 Ford Endeavour To Get 2.0L Single Turbo Diesel Engine In March

Ford India will roll out the updated version of its highly-popular Endeavour SUV in March, 2020. The 2020 Ford Endeavour will come with a new 2.0L single turbo diesel engine, power and torque figures of which are yet to be revealed. The new oil burner will essentially be the tuned down version of the 2.0L twin-turbo diesel motor that powers global-spec Ford Everest (Endeavour). Read: 2021 Ford EcoSport – Top 5 Changes

The twin turbo diesel engine, with turbocharged direct commonrail injection system, puts out a maximum power of 210.5bhp (157kW) at 3750rpm and 500Nm of torque between 1750rpm – 2000rpm. It comes paired to Ford’s new 10-speed automatic gearbox that was co-developed with GM.

Rumour has it that the India-spec 2020 Ford Endeavour with 2.0L single turbo diesel engine might get the same 10-speed AT unit. Globally, the oil burner is claimed to return a mileage of 7.6L/100km. The new oil burner could be offered with both 4X2 and 4X4 drivetrain system.

Currently, the Ford Endeavour comes with a 2.2L, 4-cylinder and a 3.2L, 4-cylinder diesel engines delivering power worth 160bhp with 385Nm and 200bhp with 470Nm respectively. No other changes are likely to be made the SUV. The 2020 Ford Endeavour will look exactly similar to the existing model and offer the same set of equipment.
