It is no secret that Royal Enfield is readying an all-new motorcycle, called the Meteor 350, which will replace the ageing Thunderbird. A new set of clear images of the upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 have been leaked on the Internet. The images appear to be leaked from the online configuration tool, which reveal important details.

The new set of images has also revealed the price and other details. The company had registered the new Meteor name last year. Royal Enfield will be using the ‘Fireball’ suffix with the motorcycle, and this is clearly visible on one of the leaked images. It is yet to be revealed whether the Fireball suffix will be used for the entire Meteor range or is used with a particular colour or model variant.

The upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 comes with a price tag of Rs 1,68,550. This particular variant is likely to feature some accessories. The price is slightly higher than the Thunderbird X, which was priced at Rs 1.63 lakh. Similar to the Classic range, the upcoming Meteor 350 will support a number of optional accessories.

The upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor will be based on an all-new double cradle chassis, which will also underpin the next-gen Classic and the Bullet series motorcycles. The motorcycle comes fitted with round headlamp with a chrome bezel, a circular instrument console, teardrop shaped fuel tank and a stepped seat. Other design highlights include blacked-out engine case, new indicators, circular tail-lamps with a chrome bezel and turn indicators placed next to the number plate.

The 2020 Royal Enfield Meteor will be powered by an all-new BSVI compliant 350cc petrol engine, which will sport new SOHC system and fuel injection. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox. For suspension mechanism, the Meteor 350 will receive telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle is likely to receive dual-channel ABS system as standard.
