Renault Kwid Racer

Renault Kwid Racer edition

After launching the Kwid Climber, Renault will bring in one more accessorised version of the hatchback. Called the Kwid Racer, this special edition will be offered with a racing-style kit that will include aerodynamic body work, 18-inch alloy wheels with low-profile tyres and sporty metallic blue finish. Features such as a roll cage, bucket seats and Alcantara, aluminium and carbon upholstery will also be on offer. It will also get a digital rev counter, a four-point harness, telemetry data and a leather-trimmed steering wheel.

Powering the Kwid Racer will be a 1.0-litre SCe, three-cylinder, DOHC engine that is good enough for 67bhp of power and 91Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed Easy-R AMT gearbox.

New Renault Koleos

The French automaker’s global SUV – the Koleos – might make a comeback in the Indian market. This time around, the company will bring in the new generation model which broke cover at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show. The new-gen Koleos will be built on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF platform, and follow the carmaker’s new design philosophy ‘Expolre’. Some of its design and styling bits are carried over from the new Koleos and Talisman sedan. The SUV’s new model is 150mm longer, 12mm narrower and 29mm shorter than its current generation. Its interior, too, will be revised with new connectivity and comfort features. The SUV is likely to come in petrol and diesel guise, and transmission options are expected to include a 6-speed manual and X-Tronic automatic gearbox.

New Renault Megane Sedan

Renault had announced to launch several new cars in India in the next few years. Out of these upcoming new Renault cars in India, one will be Megane sedan. Just so you know, the sedan had its world premiere at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. In India, the sedan will come as a replacement for the Fluence which was discontinued this year. Engine details of the India-bound model are yet to be revealed. Reports in media suggest, however, that the sedan could be offered in both petrol and diesel guise. Based on the Renault-Nissan CMF platform, the Megane shares its design features with Talisman sedan, and offer a class-leading boot space.
