The upcoming new generation 2020 Honda City has received a 5-star crash rating by ASEAN NCAP. Not just this model, the previous 3rd and 4th generation Thailand-spec City was also awarded with 5-star rating by ASEAN NCAP in 2012 and 2014, respectively. The new Honda City scored 86.54 points out of 100 in the front offset impact and side impact tests. It secured 44.83 for adult occupant protection, 22.85 points for child occupant protection and 18.89 points for safety assist tech.

Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a CVT automatic gearbox.
