ADAS or advanced driver-assistance system is now offered in multiple mass market cars in the Indian market. It is basically a radar-based technology that offers a certain level of autonomous capability. Here is the list of upcoming new cars with Advanced Driver Assistant System (ADAS) in the Indian market –

– Hyundai will launch the Creta facelift and the next-gen Verna sedan in the Indian market in 2023. The new Creta is already on sale in select international markets. It will come with new design elements and upgraded cabin with advanced features. Hyundai is also developing the next-gen Verna sedan, which is reportedly to be launched in early next year. In fact, media reports suggest that the new Verna could debut at Auto Expo 2023 in January. Hyundai is also testing the Alcazar facelift, which will receive minimal changes in terms of styling & interior.
Hyundai has already announced that the ADAS features of the Tucson will also be offered with other Hyundai cars including the Creta, Verna and the Alcazar. The ADAS tech of Tucson comes with 16 features. It offers forward collision warning (FCW), forward collision-avoidance assist for car, pedestrian, cycle and junction turning, lane keeping assist (LKA), lane departure warning, blind-spot collision – avoidance assist (BCA), safe exit warning (SEW), leading vehicle departure alert (LVDA), high-beam assist (HBA), smart cruise control with Stop & GO, lane following assist (LFA), rear-cross traffic collision warning, rear cross traffic collision avoidance assist and blind-spot view monitor.
– Tata Motors has started testing the new Harrier and Safari facelifts, which are expected to be introduced in 2023. The new models will receive significant design changes and an all-new cabin. Both SUVs will also come equipped with advanced features like 360 degree camera, a bigger touchscreen infotainment system and ADAS. In fact, the SUVs will also receive a newly developed turbocharged petrol engine. The ADAS tech will offer features like forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane assist and others.
– Mahindra has recently announced 5 new Born Electric SUVs under two sub-brands – XUV.e and BEV. These SUVs will start arriving from December 2024. The new electric SUVs will come with several advanced features including ADAS tech, which we have already seen on the latest Mahindra XUV700.
– Toyota is preparing an all-new Innova Hycross, which is reportedly to be unveiled in November 2022. The new model is expected to be launched sometime in early 2023. Indonesian media reports that the new Innova HyCross or Zenix will come with features like electric sunroof, new touchscreen infotainment system and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistant System) and others. The new model will also come with a new petrol engine with a strong hybrid engine.
– Kia has recently revealed the new Seltos facelift in the Korean automaker. The new model will come with design changes and upgraded interior along with several new features. It will come with a panoramic sunroof, an updated infotainment system and others. The SUV will also come with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), which is likely to be shared with the upcoming Creta & Alcazar.
– MG has recently teased the new Hector facelift, which is expected to be launched by festive season, Diwali. It will come with revised styling and an all-new interior with a bigger touchscreen infotainment system. The new 2022 MG Hector will be equipped with the Level 2 ADAS system including emergency braking system, parking assist with blind spot detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, rader based adaptive cruise control and more.
