19. Datsun GO Cross

Next in our list of upcoming cars in India is the all-new Datsun Go Cross sub-compact SUV.  This new Datsun SUV will use a low-cost platform with a high-level localization that will surely help carmaker achieve competitive pricing against – Ford EcoSport and Maruti Vitara Brezza. To be produced under Renault-Nissan alliance, the GO Cross might come with 5-seat and 7-seat layout options. Engine options for the SUV will include a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder in-line diesel.

The Datsun GO Cross will share its platform with the GO+ MPV and feature SUV-ish traits including high ground clearance and bold stance. Up front, the car will sport a hexagonal grille with lots of chrome, LED headlamps, pronounced bumper, LED fog lights and silver chromed bumper with black plastic extension. Interior details are yet to be revealed. Though, it is likely borrow most of the features from the GO+ MPV. 20. New Nissan Micra

Nissan’s small hatchback – Micra – is ready to enter its fifth generation with an all-new design and a handful of new features. Just like several other upcoming cars in India, the new Nissan Micra will make its India debut at the Auto Expo 2018 in February. The hatchback’s new-gen model had its global premiere at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, followed by display at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Built on Nissan’s new design language, the 2018 Micra will feature an evolved design inspired by Sway concept. It will also witness significant dimensional changes. The new model will be longer, wider, taller and more spacious than the current one.

Cabin will be classed up with high-end comfort and connectivity features. The hatchback will get a futuristic centre console, leather seat upholstery, new trims, a new BOSE Personal audio system with Nissan’s intelligent Around View Monitor camera, a 7-inch multi-touch display, DBA digital radio and several other features. Safety quotient will also be far better than the current model. 21. New Volkswagen Polo

Volkswagen had unveiled the new generation Polo hatchback in Berlin in June 2017. It is one of the most awaited upcoming cars in India. Unlike the outgoing model that is based on PQ24 platform, the next Polo is developed on VW Group’s MQB-A0 platform. This platform will also underpin the T-Cross Breeze compact SUV. This new hatchback is longer, wider and sits on a longer wheelbase, which turns into spacious cabin. Measuring 4.053mm in length, the new Polo features VW’s evolutionary styling with sharp body creases and sharp design.

22. Fiat Argo

The Italian automaker has recently revealed the much-awaited Fiat Argo hatchback in the Brazilian market. Featuring modern design, spacious cabin and high quality materials, the new model will also come to India as a replacement for the Punto hatchback. Based on an all-new platform, the new model design is inspired from Fiat’s new ‘Wraparound’ design language. 23. Toyota Vios

Another important model among the upcoming cars in India is a mid-sized sedan from the Japanese automaker. Called the Vios, the sedan will be positioned between the Etios and Corolla Altis. It will take on the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. The Vios is likely to make its India debut at the Auto Expo 2018. Talking about design, the mid-sized sedan has chunky V-shaped front grille, vertically placed daytime running lamps, rising beltline and aggressive creases.

25. Audi Q5

27. Honda CRV 7 Seater

Upcoming Cars in IndiaHonda will launch new-generation CR-V in India sometime next year. One of the major changes on the SUV will be the seven-seat layout and a diesel engine that is currently missing in the line-up. In the premium SUV space, it will face-off with Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass among several others. Apart from receiving seven-seat layout, the model is expected to get cosmetic updates and new features inside the cabin.
