In 2013, TVS-BMW announced their partnership and revealed that they will bring out small capacity motorcycle in markets by 2015. Here are the first pictures of the upcoming new 300cc motorcycle from this grand alliance.
Codenamed as K03, the new motorcycle is expected to be powered by a four-stroke, water-cooled single-cylinder engine that is likely to churns out a maximum power output of 40PS. Power is transferred to roads via a six-speed transmission. The spotted bike largely resembles the Draken concept, which was showcased by TVS at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo.
The TVS-BMW K03 naked street motorcycle features a single projector up ahead flanked by chunky indicators. According to Visordown folks, the bike has rubbers on the alloys and the engine features back-to-front cylinder design similar to the one found on the Yamaha YZ450F. Also on offer is a single disc at the front and rear. It is equipped with a lone side slung exhaust and upside down forks at the front. The motorcycle is likely to be equipped with ABS and other electronic gadgets.
The 300cc motorcycle will target enthusiasts looking for affordable naked bikes. The K03 naked bike will compete against the likes of the Z250 and 390 Duke in our markets. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 2 lakh.
