Upcoming Bajaj Dominar 250 Motorcycle Dealer-Level Bookings Open

Bajaj Dominar 250 Launch

The much-anticipated upcoming new Bajaj Dominar 250 is scheduled to be launched in the next few days. The company has released a new teaser video, which shows a bunch of Tibetan prayer flags and ‘D250’ monikor. In fact, the motorcycle has already started arriving at dealerships.

The new Bajaj Dominar 250 is expected to be priced around Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Official bookings are yet to be revealed, but dealers have commenced taking pre-orders at a token amount of Rs 10,000.

The upcoming Dominar 250 will be powered by a 248.8cc DOHC, fuel injected, liquid-cooled BS6 compliant engine, which is sourced from the KTM Duke 250. While powering the Duke, this engine produces 30bhp of power and 24Nm of torque. However, Bajaj engineers have tuned this engine to produce around 27PS of power and 23.5Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle will achieve 0-100kmph in less than 11 seconds. The Dominar 250 will be made available in 2 new colour options – Canyon Red and Vine Black. The styling of the new Bajaj Dominar 250 will be heavily inspired by the bigger sibling. Going by the images available on the Internet, it is visible that the motorcycle gets the 37mm up-side down forks at the front and monoshock unit at the rear.

Other key features of the new Bajaj D250 includes twin-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), slipper clutch, full LED headlamps with automatic headlamp ON function, twin barrel exhaust, split seats, split grab rails and LED taillamps. The motorcycle gets regular alloys shod with 100 section front and 130 section rear tyres.
