Upcoming 4 New Royal Enfield Motorcycles; New 650cc, 350cc Bikes

Royal Enfield had launched two brand new motorcycles – the Meteor 350 and the new-gen Classic 350 in the country in past 1 year. The company is now planning to launch a wide range of new motorcycles including new 650cc bikes. The company will launch two new 650cc motorcycles, which will join the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650.

Here’s the list of upcoming 4 new Royal Enfield Bikes to be launched in India in 2022-23.

1. Royal Enfield Scram 411 – Early 2022

Royal Enfield will launch a new entry-level scrambler version of the Himalayan motorcycle. Likely to be called the RE Scram 411, the new scrambler-styled tourer will be more affordable than the adventure sibling. It is likely to be launched in early 2022. The company will make some changes to the Himalayan to give it a more road-oriented Scrambler feel. It is likely to retain the same 411cc, single-cylinder engine that powers the Himalayan. This engine produces 24.3bhp and 32Nm of torque, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

2. RE Hunter 350 – Q2, 2022

Royal Enfield is also testing a new entry-level 350cc Classic motorcycle, which is likely to be positioned below the Classic 350 and the Meteor 350. Rumoured to be called the Hunter 350, the new motorcycle will be lighter than the Classic 350. It will directly rival the Honda CB350RS and the Jawa Forty Two.

The new RE Hunter 350 will be based on the ‘J’ platform that underpins the Meteor 350 and the Classic 350. Not just platform, the motorcycle will also share the cycle parts and engine with the Classic/Metero 350. It is the same 349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque, and paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

3. RE Super Meteor 650 – Mid-2022

It is set to be the most expensive Royal Enfield bike in the country. This 650cc cruiser is likely to be called the Super Meteor; however, RE is yet to make an official announcement. This motorcycle is likely to source power from a  648cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine boosted with fuel injection technology that produces 47PS and 52Nm of torque. The cruiser will have a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch.

The motorcycle will get USD front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. It will have disc brakes along with dual-channel ABS System. It is likely to share styling cues from the KX Concept that was unveiled in 2019. Design highlights will include a circular headlamp, a large visor for wind protection, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, forward set foot pegs, a fatter rear fender, round tail-lights and turn indicators, and twin-pipe exhaust system.

4. RE Shotgun 650 – Mid-2022

It will be the production version of the RE SG650 concept that debuted at the 2021 EICMA motor show in Italy. The bobber styled motorcycle is likely to be called the Shotgun, as the name has recently trademarked by RE in India. The motorcycle features USD front forks and twin shock absorbers. It is likely to share the braking system with the RE 650 twins – 320mm disc at front and 240mm disc at rear. Dual-channel ABS system will come as standard.

The motorcycle is likely to source the engine and gearbox combination with the RE 650 twins. It is a 650cc parallel twin engine that produces 47bhp at 7,150rpm and a peak torque of 52Nm at 5,250rpm. This engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
