American automaker will launch the new generation Endeavour SUV in the Indian car market. The company has revealed the vehicle in the form of the Everest concept at the 2014 Bangkok motor show. The first images of the new Endeavour were released in August 2013.
The new Ford Endeavour is equipped with bold, trapezoidal grille with chrome inserts and swept back headlights, which offers a sporty character to it. The lower end of the bumper gets a matte silver skid plate which moves towards the bumper and lengthens towards the fog lamp assembly. The side profile of the SUV features aggressive wheel arches, ORVMs with chrome inserts, chrome door handles and creases. The sewage window line which runs across the length to meet a wraparound rear windscreen. At the rear, the vehicle features wide tail lamps with chrome strip.
The Ford Endeavour is likely to be powered by 2.2-litre and 3.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engines. Both the engines are expected to be paired with automatic transmission gearbox, while the lower spec engine could also get a manual gearbox. The vehicle will be offered with two or four wheel drive options.
Expected Launch and Price:
The new generation Ford Endeavour is likely to make its Indian debut by the 2015-16. Before its launch, the company might introduce a mild facelift version of the current generation model. It will compete against the likes of Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. The new 2016 Ford Endeavour will be locally assembled in India and is likely to be priced around 19-25 lakh.
