Uber, the well-known cab service provider, today announced pilot launch of its latest service –UberMOTO – motorbike rides for daily commuters. A boon for regular travelers, the new Uber smartphone app offers support to travelers with two-wheelers. All you need to do it click a button and a bike rider will visit your doorstep shortly to take you to your destination.
You can easily save great deal of money and time and avail last mile connectivity without any hassle. The service mainly aims to cater those people who face problems even for making small trips across the town and are compelled to pay extra money to auto rickshaws and cab drivers.
As per Uber India’s President, Amit Jain, “Uber has always been at the forefront of innovation across the world. We are very excited to pilot UberMOTO in Bangalore- pairing our on-demand technology platform with motorbikes, the predominant mode of transport in India…”. For now, the service is only available for selected parts of Bangalore but the company promises to increase its coverage area shortly. The app will be live from today and will work very much like other options like uberGO, uberX, uberBLACK, and so forth.
It is an affordable means of transportation with rates beginning from Rs.1 +Rs.3/km+ Rs.1/min. The least fare for any distance is Rs.15. To mark the occasion, Uber is offering free rides to first-time travelers. Those who own their own two wheelers can always join Uber and make their contribution.
