TVS Zeppelin Cruiser Production Model to debut at 2020 Auto Expo – Report

TVS Zeppelin

TVS Motor Company had showcased the TVS Zeppelin power cruiser concept at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. A new report from Bikewale claims that the production version of the Zeppelin will debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. In fact, it is claimed that the road testing of the new motorcycle will begin very soon.

The TVS Zeppelin concept was powered by a 220cc single-cylinder engine benefitted with TVS patented Integrated Starter Generator with an e-boost option. The concept also had a 1200W regenerative assist motor with 48V Li-ION battery. This motor drives power to the rear wheel via a belt drive. The report claims that the Zeppelin cruiser will receive a 212cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This powertrain is based on the Apache’s 197cc engine. The BSVI compliant unit will have increased bore size for higher displacement.

The production version is likely to retain the styling and cycle parts. It is expected to receive the full LED lighting and a digital instrument console. The instrument console will also come with Bluetooth support, which will offer multiple functions like navigation and phone and message access. However, the production model will miss out on smart Bio-key and a headlamp integrated HD action camera to keep the costs low. Also See – TVS Zeppelin – top 5 things to know
