November 4, 2016 – TVS Motorcycles has showcased the X21 racing concept at the 2016 Indonesia Motorcycle Show (IMOS) in Jakarta. Along with the X21, the home-grown two-wheeler maker also displayed the TVS Akula 310 and TVS Entorq 210 in their concept avatars. The TVS X21 concept is, basically, the racing version of TVS Apache RTR 200 4V that is claimed to offer superior handling and rideability. With lightweight body-built and race tuned engine, this racing bike is also claimed to be high on performance. As a reminder, the X21 had its India debut at this year’s Auto Expo in Feburary.

The bike comes with multiple special race components such as a performance kit, race levers, and steering damper for control and stability at higher speeds. Based on a compact and lightweight chassis with focus on low mass, the TVS X21 has a perfect blend of sharp edges and smooth lines that make it look quite muscular and sporty. The TVS X21 is a track ready machine, thanks to its half faired design for superior aerodynamics and race ergonomics. At the heart of this mean racing machine is a 212.4cc, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine benefited with fuel injection system. This motor is tuned for higher revs, thus enabling it deliver higher top-end power for track racing. This power unit also has twin oil coolers, twin straight flow air filters and twin free flow canisters that provide efficient cooling and oil circulation, cleaner combustion and signature RTR grunt respectively.
Suspension duties are taken care of by the telescopic upfront and the mono shock gas-filled rear setup. This racing concept also comes equipped with an instrument console with a digital speedometer, a digital tachometer, a trip meter, clock, acceleration timing, lap timing and more for performance tuning.
