A new TVS motorcycle will be launched in India on 6th July 2022. While the company remains tight lipped about the upcoming model, it’s likely to be the TVS Ronin 225cc bike with a neo-classic styling. Ahead of its official debut, the first images of the model have been leaked on the web. Official specifications of the new TVS bike are yet to be revealed. Though, it’s reported to come with the 225cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine delivering power close to 20bhp. Transmission duties will be done by a 5-speed gearbox.

The leaked images reveal that the new TVS Ronin 225cc will feature a round headlamp with a T-shaped LED daytime running light. It also has a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a raised handlebar providing an upright riding position and a flat seat. You can also notice a single-pod instrument console. For performing suspension duties, the bike will have an upside-down fork up front and a monoshock suspension at the rear. Braking power will come from the front and rear disc brakes. It will also get a dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).

In other updates, TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad aim to expand their long-term partnership with the joint development of new platforms and future technologies including electric two-wheelers. Both companies will develop common platforms and the models based on these architectures will be sold in global markets.

The first product under this joint venture will arrive in the next 24 months. The Chennai-based two-wheeler maker might introduce its electric models under a separate sub-brand. If reports are to be believed, TVS is working on 6 new electric two-wheelers (including bikes and scooters) for the Indian market.

TVS recently introduced the updated version of the Radeon motorcycle featuring a reverse multi-colour LCD digital cluster. The unit reads top and average speed, rear time mileage, service indicator, clock and low battery indicator.
