November 4, 2016 – TVS EnTorq racing scooter, alongside the Akula 310 & X21 concepts, has made its public appearance at the 2016 IMOS (Indonesia Motorcycle Show) in Jakarta. This scooter was first previewed at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, and likely to hit showrooms sometime next year. Similar to the Akula 310 and X21 racing concepts, the EnTorq scooter celebrates 33 years of TVS Racing heritage. The company’s official had said that the TVS EnTorq 210 concept represents their futuristic two wheeler design and technology. This concept will become basis for the company’s new-generation scooters.

The first scooter based on the EnTorq 210 concept will be named as TVS EnTorq 125 that will face a close competition from the Honda Activa. Unlike the concept that debuted with an all-aluminum 212.5cc liquid-cooled motor, the production-ready Entroq will be powered by a 125cc engine. 1. TVS EnTorq 125cc Launch Date

The TVS EnTorq (125cc) might arrive at the Indian shores next year. Though, the official confirmation about the same is yet to be made.

With Honda Activa in its sight, the EnTorq 125 is estimated to be priced around Rs 50,000 – Rs 58,000.

4. TVS EnTorq 125cc Design

The upcoming TVS scooter sits on a new-generation platform, and carries a futuristic design. This could be slightly more up-market and premium than its closest rival – Honda Activa. The production version of the vehicle will retain some components from the concept such as first-in-segment intelligent smartphone integration with GPS navigation and a smart TFT multi-function console for internet connectivity.

The scooter might also get a pair of large wheels fitted with radial tubeless tyres and advanced LED lighting system. Braking power for the EnTorq will come from the Roto petal dual discs brakes coupled with anti-lock braking system (ABS).

5. TVS EnTorq 125cc Engine & Transmission

The EnTorq 210 concept was packed with an all-aluminum 212.5cc, liquid-cooled engine with fuel injected technology. Paired to an Advanced Variomatic transmission, this powertrain is claimed to hit a top speed of 120kmph. Having said that, the production-ready model might be fitted with an all-new 125cc engine. The scooter offers a fuel tank capacity of 8.5-litres.

6. TVS EnTorq Competition

The EnTorq scooter, with a 125cc power mill, will take on the Honda Activa that currently dominating the 125cc scooter space. It might also impact the sales of Suzuki Access 125Mahindra Gusto 125 and other 125cc scooters.
