TVS Could Launch 310cc Naked Bike & Ronin Scrambler In India

TVS is preparing to launch multiple new models in the quarter-litre motorcycle segment. At the latest edition of TVS MotoSoul, the homegrown two-wheeler giant had showcased the factory-custom TVS Ronin SCR (Scrambler). It is expected that the company could introduce the Ronin based Scrambler motorcycle in our market.

On the other hand, TVS is reportedly working on two new motorcycles based on the Apache RR 310. The company could launch a naked motorcycle, Apache RTR 310 in our market later this year. Moreover, TVS is also reportedly working on an all-new adventure motorcycle for the Indian market. The new motorcycle will be based on the Apache RR 310 platform, which also underpins the BMW G310 GS adventure.

The new TVS Apache RTR 310 will be positioned against the likes of the KTM Duke 390, while the adventure bike will challenge the RE Himalayan, BMW G310 GS and the KTM ADV 390. The new motorcycles will be powered by a 312.2cc single-cylinder reverse-inclined liquid-cooled engine that churns out a maximum power output of 34PS and a peak torque of 27.3Nm. It will come with dual-channel ABS as standard.

The new motorcycle to be based on the Ronin is likely to be a soft scrambler and will be different from the Ronin SCR showcased at Motosoul 2023 in Goa. The scrambler is likely to receive some design changes. The Ronin is powered by a 225.9cc single-cylinder engine paired to a 5-speed gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 20.1bhp at 7,750rpm and a peak torque of 19.93Nm at 3,750rpm.

TVS Motor Company is also planning to foray into the 600cc-750cc motorcycle segment. The company is working on a new bike with bigger capacity engine featuring a twin-cylinder setup. The new TVS 650cc bike is reportedly to deliver power close to 47bhp and 52Nm of torque.
