TVS Motor Company has rolled out the TVS Apache RTR 160 White Race Edition in the country. The new model is available in two variants – front disc/rear drum and front disc/rear disc – priced at Rs 79,715 and Rs 82,044 respectively. Please note that the aforementioned prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
In terms of pricing, the new TVS Apache RTR 160 White Race Edition is around Rs 1,000 more expensive than the regular model. Save for the new colour scheme, the bike remains unchanged. Now, the bike is available in a total of seven colour choices – Red, Black, White, Matte Red, Matt Blue, Matte Grey and the new White Race Edition. Power for the bike comes from a 159.7cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled new carburetor engine churning out a top power of 16.5PS and 14.8Nm of torque. This new unit is around 1.3PS more powerful and 1.7Nm torquier than the old motor. The EFI version, on the other hand, is good for 16.8PS and 14.8Nm of torque. The carbureted TVS Apache RTR 160 can do 0-60kmph in 4.73 seconds, and the EFI model takes 4.8 seconds. The top speed of Carb and EFI variants stand at 114kmph and 113kmph respectively. Similar to the regular model, the TVS Apache RTR 160 features race-tuned SHOWA suspension unit and braking system.
