Triumph Tiger XCx and XRx launched; price & specifications

Triumph Motorcycle has launched two new models- the Triumph Tiger XRx and the Triumph Tiger XCx in the Indian two-wheeler market. The standard Tiger XR is pried at Rs. 10.5 lakh. While the Tiger XRx is tagged at Rs. 11.6 lakh, the Tiger XCx costs Rs. 12.7 lakh. All the prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.

The new Tiger range made their world premiere at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy. The bike is powered by a second generation liquid-cooled, 12-valve, 800cc DOHC inline three-cylinder engine that churns out a maximum power output of 95PS and a peak torque of 79Nm. This engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox to transfer power on roads.

The Tiger XCx targets the off-roading enthusiasts. It is equipped with larger 21-inch upfront and 17-inch at the rear alloy wheels, fully-adjustable WP suspension, front mudguard, sump guard and radiator guard (to protect bike from rocks and gravel).

On the other hand, the Triumph Tiger gets slightly smaller alloy wheels. The front gets 19-inch alloys while the 17-inch alloy wheels at the rear. This bike misses out on adjustable suspensions, while the seat height of the motorcycle is 10mm lesser than the XCx. These bikes also have traction control and switchable ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as standard safety feature. Other features include auto-cancel indicators, hand guards, additional 12V power socket, advanced trip computer, etc.
