The Japanese carmaker will also bring in the Vios sedan in the Indian market. If media reports are to be believed, it might see a release during 2018 festive season. This mid-size saloon will be pitted against the Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna.
Engine details of the India-spec Vios are yet to be revealed. Though, it is likely to be offered with both petrol and diesel powertrains. While the gasoline unit could be a 1.5-litre unit making 108bhp, the diesel model might use the 1.4-litre motor. There could be two transmissions on offer – a 5-speed manual and a CVT.
