Toyota Vellfire MPV Set To Launch In India Early 2020

The Indian arm of Japanese carmaker, Toyota Kirloskar Motor is all set to roll out the Vellfire luxury MPV in the first quarter of 2020. To be positioned against the Mercedes-Benz V-Class, the Toyota Vellfire will be brought to India via CBU (Completely Built Up) route under the government’s new homologation rule.

Unofficial bookings of the Toyota Vellfire have already begun and its deliveries are reported to commence in March, 2020. Price of the vehicle is estimated to be around Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom).

The luxury MPV will come in a single variant featuring Toyota’s Executive Lounge package that includes two large, power-operated ottoman seats for the middle row occupants. Other key features include a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a three-zone automatic climate control, entertainment package with two 10.2-inch display for the rear seat passengers, two sunroofs, a powered tailgate, sliding doors, mood lighting and individual tray tables.

Toyota Vellfire Black Interior

In India, the Toyota Vellfire will be made available with a petrol-hybrid powertrain that includes a 2.5L engine and two electric motors. The combined power output of the hybrid powertrain is 197bhp. Power is delivered to all-four wheels through a CVT automatic gearbox.
