Toyota Vellfire MPV Bookings Open At Dealership Level
The Japanese carmaker is ready to launch the Toyota Vellfire luxury MPV in the Indian market. The vehicle, which is slated to go on sale this month, has already started arriving at dealerships.
According to a media report, select Toyota dealerships have commenced taking pre-orders for the Vellfire 6-seater MPV. Its deliveries, however, are likely to begin in March 2020.
The Toyota Vellfire will be brought to India via CBU (Completely Built Unit) route under the government’s revised import rule. The luxury MPV will be made available in a single variant packed with all comfort and safety features along with a petrol-electric hybrid engine.
The new luxury MPV from the Japanese carmaker is estimated to be priced around Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price point, it will take head-to-head against Mercedes-Benz V-Class that costs from Rs 68.40 lakh to Rs 81.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
As mentioned above, the Toyota Vellfire will come with hybrid powertrain that includes a 2.5L petrol engine and an electric motor. For performing transmission duties, the MPV will have a e-CVT gearbox. The Toyota Vellfire will be made available with 4WD (four-wheel-drive) system.
In terms of features, the Toyota Vellfire will be packed with lots of goodies including a three-zone automatic climate control, powered, ventilated and reclinable second row of seats, two sunroofs, mood lighting, powered sliding doors and tailgate, individual tray tables, seven airbags and more. The MPV will come with optional black or beige interior theme.
