The long-awaited Toyota Vellfire luxurious 6-seater MPV will finally be launched in the Indian market tomorrow. The new model will only be offered in a single Executive Lounge variant, which comes fitted with host of high-end comfort and convenience features. The Vellfire will directly rival the Mercedes-Benz V-Class, which is priced between Rs 68.4 lakh and Rs 1.46 crore.

Interested buyers can pre-book the Toyota Vellfire luxurious MPV by paying an initial sum of Rs 10 lakh. The new model comes equipped with powered VIP seats in the middle row with powered leg supports or ottomans. The Vellfire’s second row of seats come with heating and cooling function, memory function, fold out tables and plush leather upholstery. The company will also offer 2 different seat colour options – Flexen brown and all-black.

In terms of features, the Toyota Vellfire gets 13-inch rear entertainment screen with HDMI an WiFi connectivity, power sliding rear doors and 17-speaker JBL sound system. Other features include twin moonroofs, 3-zone climate control, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, powered tailgate, 16-colour roof ambient illumination, automatic LED headlamps, heated wing mirrors, 7 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, and panoramic view monitor and VDIM (Vehicle Dynamic Integrated Management).

In terms of proportions, the Toyota Vellfire is 4,935mm in length, 1,850mm in width and 1,895mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,000rmm. Powering the new Toyota Vellfire is a 2.5-litre petrol engine with two electric motors (placed on front and rear axles) for its electronic 4WD system. While the front motor produces 143PS, the rear motor produces 68PS. The petrol engine is capable of producing 117PS and 198Nm of torque. This hybrid powertrain runs primarily on battery power with a 60:40 split between EV and ICE drive mode respectively. It is claimed to return a fuel economy of 16.35kmpl.
