This year, Toyota Kirloskar Motor will introduce three new models including the updated Urban Cruiser, Land Cruiser LC300, a new mid-size SUV and new-generation Innova. The new Toyota Urban Cruiser will be come after the new-generation Maruti Brezza, which is due for June 2022. The new Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 is reported to launch by August, while Toyota’s Creta rival might hit showrooms during 2022 festive season. 2022 Toyota Urban Cruiser
Toyota’s rebadged version of the Vitara Brezza – Urban Cruiser – will receive an update in coming months. Most of its changes will be similar to the new-gen Brezza. The subcompact SUV is likely to come with a newly-designed dashboard, a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charger, a 360 degree camera, a SIM-based connected car suite and an electric sunroof. 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser LC300
Bookings for the new Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 were commenced in February 2022. The SUV will go on sale by August 2022. The SUV will underpin the GA-F platform, which is a ladder-on-frame chassis consists new high strength steel for better stiffness. Under the hood, the India-spec model is likely to feature a 3.3L twin-turbo diesel motor paired to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The oil burner delivers a peak power of 305bhp and 700Nm of torque. Toyota Mid-Size SUV
It’s not a secrete that Toyota and Suzuki are co-developing a mid-size SUV that’s reported to arrive near around 2022 Diwali season. Rumour has it that the trail production of the new Toyota SUV is already underway at the company’s Bidadi plant. The model might debut in June or July. It will be designed on Toyota’s TNGA-B platform and could be offered with turbo petrol engine and hybrid powertrain options. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer. 2022 Toyota Innova
The new-generation Toyota Innova could be unveiled by the end of 2022. While there is no official word on its India launch timeline, the MPV is likely to go on sale right after its debut or in early 2023. The MPV’s new model will be shorter and lighter than the existing one. With a longer wheelbase, the new Innova will ensure more cabin space. Its design and styling elements could be inspired by the Japan-only Toyota Noah and Voxy MPVs. Noticeable upgrades will be made to its interior as well.
