Toyota Raize, the upcoming subcompact SUV from the Japanese carmaker, is all set to make its global debut on 5th November, 2019. Ahead of its official unveiling, details of the vehicle have emerged on the web. According to leaked information, the Toyota Raize measures 3995mm in length, 1695mm in width and 1620mm in height, which are exactly similar to the Daihatsu Rocky SUV.
The new subcompact SUV from Toyota offers a boot space of 369-litre. It has a distinctive twin-floor offering a hidden storage space under the floor. For safety provision, the Toyota Raize offers a smart parking system, a pedestrian detection system, blind spot monitoring, LED headlamps with an adaptive driving beam, cornering lamps and adaptive cruise control.
All variants of the Toyota Raize SUV are likely to get dual front airbags and curtain airbags as standard. The vehicle will be made available in 8 monotone and 3 dual-tone colour options. Some of its design highlights include fog lamps with angular housings, LED DRLs, LED headlamps, front bumper with contrast black inserts, and floating D-pillar. Inside, the Toyota Raize gets a free-standing 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a driver-centric cockpit-like centre console and three-spoke steering wheel. The faux brushed-aluminum bits on the steering, dashboard and AC vents further enhance its interior look.
Toyota Raize subcompact SUV has been designed on the brand’s flexible DNGA platform and comes with a 1.0L, 3-cylinder petrol engine. The turbocharged gasoline motor makes power worth 98bhp at 6,000rpm and 140.2Nm of torque between 2,400rpm-4,000rpm. The SUV comes with 2WD and 4WD system delivering fuel economy of 18.6kmpl and 17.4kmpl (WLTC driving cycle) respectively.
