Toyota Kirloskar Motor has introduced a limited edition of the Platinum Etios premium sedan. Called the Toyota Platinum Etios Limited Edition, this new model is available on the fully-loaded VX trim with both petrol and diesel engine options. While the petrol version is priced at Rs 7.84 lakh, the diesel model comes with a price tag of Rs 8.94 lakh (all, ex-showroom Delhi).
The Toyota Platinum Etios Limited Edition comes with more premium features and a new paint scheme. Though, the engine mechanism of the car remains unchanged. New Phantom Brown colour scheme is offered on the Etios’ special edition. Buyers also have a choice of the Pearl White with Crystal Shine shade. The overall design and styling of the limited edition is exactly similar to the regular model.
Most of the updates have been made inside the cabin. It gets a new 6.8-inch touchscreen multimedia system with AM/FM, DVD/CD, USB, AUX, Bluetooth, voice recognition and remote control. Since it’s just a special edition, no mechanical changes have been to the car. The petrol version derives its power from a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine pushing out a top power of 89bhp at 5,600rpm and 132Nm of torque at 3,000rpm. Powering the diesel model is a 1.4-litre four-cylinder motor producing 67bhp at 3,800rpm and 170Nm of torque at 1,800rpm – 2,400rpm. Transmission on offer is a 5-speed manual unit. Mileage figures of the sedan stand at 16.78kmpl and 23.59kmpl for the petrol and diesel models respectively.
