Toyota Innova Hycross bookings from November 25; Prices In January

Toyota has officially teased new Innova Hycross for the Indian market. The company will start accepting pre-orders for the new MPV on November 25. It is expected that the prices of the new Toyota Innova Hycross will be announced at the 2023 Auto Expo, and the deliveries are likely to commence in the latter half of January.

Before India, the new Innova will debut in Indonesia on November 21 where it will be called the new Innova Zenix. The new Toyota Innova Hycross will come with all-new styling with several SUV-like design elements. In fact, the new model could be branded as a crossover-MPV in India. It comes with a prominent SUV-like front fascia, which seems inspired from global Toyota models including the Corolla Cross.

The front fascia features a larger and upright hexagonal grille, new headlamp setup with two L-shaped inserts housing the main unit, strong creases on the bonnet and aggressive bumper that has triangular housings for the fog lamp. It comes with large wheel arches and strong character lines across the side panel. The spy images suggest that the rear profile of the new Hycross will be inspired from the Avanza MPV on sale in South Asian markets. It will have horizontally-oriented tail-lamps with LED brake lights and new 10-spoke alloys.

The new Toyota Innova Hycross will be completely different from the current Crysta. It is designed and developed on TNGA-C global platform that underpins the Corolla Cross. It is a front-wheel-drive, monocoque platform, while the current Crysta is based on the RWD ladder-frame chassis. Likely to measure around 4.7 meters in length, the new model is likely to offer a wheelbase of 2,850mm. The wheelbase is around 100mm longer than the current model, and it should translate into more space inside the cabin.

New Toyota Innova Hycross Sunroof

Toyota Indonesia has already teased the interior of the new Innova, which reveals many first features. The new model comes with a large dual-pane panoramic sunroof, side roof-mounted air-con vents and ambient lighting.  For rear passengers’ entertainment, the new Innova Hycross will come with front-seat mounted rear monitors. It is likely to come with features like power tailgate, captain seats with ottoman function, electronic parking brake and a 360 degree camera.

Moreover, the new Toyota Innova Hycross will also get Toyota’s Safety Sense that’s ADAS tech. It will offer features like Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist and Automatic High Beam. The new Hycross won’t be offered with a diesel engine option, which speculates that the current Innova Crysta will be sold alongside the current model. The new model will be powered by a 2.0L TNGA engine with a strong hybrid tech. Adding to it, the MPV will also receive a 2.0L NA petrol engine.
