Toyota Hyryder Mild Hybrid Prices To Reveal In Early October

Earlier this month, the Japanese automaker introduced the Toyota Hyryder SUV (Urban Cruiser Hyryder) that has been co-developed with Suzuki. The company announced prices of its top-end 4 strong hybrid variants and the mild hybrid automatic variant that range between Rs 15.11 lakh – Rs 18.99 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Prices of the remaining mild hybrid variants (including the AWD model) are reported to be revealed in early October, 2022.  

Maruti Suzuki recently announced prices of the Grand Vitara SUV that start from Rs 10.45 lakh and go up to Rs 19.49 lakh. Its Zeta+ and Alpha+ strong hybrid variants have been priced at Rs 17.99 lakh and Rs 19.49 lakh respectively. Toyota’s Hyryder G and V strong hybrid models are available at Rs 17.49 lakh and Rs 18.99 lakh, thus making them around Rs 50,000 cheaper than the Grand Vitara. However, the Hyryder’s top-end V automatic mild hybrid costs Rs 17.09 and Grand Vitara’s Alpha automatic mild hybrid variant is priced at Rs 16.89 lakh.

Toyota Hyryder Launch Date

Both SUVs have been designed on Suzuki’s Global C platform. The powertrain system includes a 1.5L K15C petrol engine with mild hybrid tech (103bhp/137Nm) and a 1.5L TNGA Atkinson Cycle with eCVT (92bhp/122Nm). The latter one also gets an electric motor generating 79bhp with 141Nm. The combined power output of the strong hybrid powertrain stands at 114bhp. The AWD system has been offered with the mild hybrid-manual gearbox combination only.

The Toyota Hyryder comes in E, S, G and V trims. Features such as a 360 degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, leatherette seats, leather wrapped steering weheel, drive modes, Arkamys surround sound system, roof rails, tyre pressure monitor and hill descent control are reserved for the range-topping V trim.

The SUV also comes with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, Alexa and Google assistance, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, steering mounted controls, connected car tech, reverse parking camera, ambient lighting, Head-up display, wireless charging, rear AC vents, keyless entry and go, multiple airbags, hill hold control, rear parking sensors, vehicle stability control, ABS with EBD and more.
