All Toyota Cars To Get Expensive From January 1, 2018

Toyota Fortuner 2018

All Toyota cars will see a 3 percent price hike.

The Indian arm of Toyota Motor Corporation, Toyota Kirloskar Motor will be increasing prices of all its models from January 2018. All Toyota cars will see a 3 percent price hike. In order to offset the impact of the rising manufacturing and shipment costs of the vehicles, the carmaker has taken this decision.

While the carmaker’s small car – Toyota Etios Liva might witness a price hike of around Rs 16,000, the popular Fortuner SUV will get costlier up to Rs 81,000. Currently, the Indian product lineup of the Japanese carmaker includes Land Cruiser, Fortuner SUV, Innova Crysta MPV, Corolla Altis sedan, Etios Liva hatchback and Etios sedan along with two hybrid cars – Camry and Prius.

Commenting on the price hike, Toyota Kirloskar Motor announced, “There has been an increase in the cost of manufacturing of vehicles. Frequent fluctuation in the global commodity prices and foreign exchange rates have continued to impact our input costs, from both domestic as well as import fronts. Toyota has been absorbing the additional costs all this while, protecting the customers from price increase. However, due to the continued pressure of high costs, Toyota is considering a price increase of upto 3% across models with effect from Jan 2018.” Check Out – Upcoming Toyota Cars in India
