Top 7 New Maruti Suzuki Cars To Launch In 2022

Here’s a list of upcoming new Maruti Suzuki Cars to be launched in the Indian market in 2022

1. New Maruti Baleno

Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the new Baleno hatchback in the country on February 23, 2022. The new model will come with significantly revised exterior, all-new interior and some mechanical changes. The new Baleno will come with all-new front fascia with a wider and bolder front grille, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail-lights and new alloy wheels.

The new model will come with all-new interior with high-end features. It wil come with all-new dashboard dominated by a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, navigation and Alexa voice commands. The new model will also come with automatic AC, electric sunroof, connected car tech, six airbags, cruise control, ESP, Heads Up Display and others.

The new Baleno will be powered by a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine that produces 89bhp and 113Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.

2. WagonR Facelift

Maruti Suzuki will soon launch the new WagonR facelift, which has recently been spotted during TVC shoot. The new model won’t receive major changes, as it will have a blacked-out roof and wheels. The cabin will have a new touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The new model will retain the existing engine set-up with manual and AMT gearbox option.

3. Ertiga Facelift

Maruti Suzuki will launch the new Ertiga facelift in the Q2, 2022. The new model will come with slightly revised front fascia with bolder grille and updated bumper. Inside the cabin, the MPV will have a new touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The MPV will be powered by a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine with 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.

4. XL6 Facelift

Maruti Suzuki is also testing the updated XL6 crossover-MPV, which is also expected to be launched in Q2, 2022. The new model is also expected to receive a 7-seater variant with bench-type seat in the second row. The updated XL6 will come with revised front fascia with revised dashboard and a new touchscreen infotainment system with a Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The vehicle won’t receive major changes in terms of mechanics, except for the new 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.

5. New Brezza

Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the new Brezza sub-4 meter SUV by April 2022. The new model will come with revised exterior and an all-new interior. The new Maruti Brezza will come with new front grille, LED headlamps and LED tail-lights. It will come with all-new interior, featuring a new dashboard, a bigger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, new semi-digital instrument console, electric sunroof, multi-functional steering wheel, new climate control and others.

The new Brezza will be powered by a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that produces 104bhp and 138Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The vehicle will also receive a CNG version, which will share the powertrain with the Ertiga CNG.

6. New Mid-Sized SUV

Maruti Suzuki and Toyota JV is developing an all-new mid-sized SUV, which will have two different versions. Maruti Suzuki’s version, codenamed YFG, is reportedly to be launched before the end of 2022. The new model will be based on Toyota’s DNGA platform that underpins the new Avanza and the Raize.

The new model will be offered with Toyota’s hybrid powertrain. Other engine options could include a 1.5L NA petrol or a new turbocharged petrol engine. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be on offer.

7. Swift/Dzire CNG

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to further expand its CNG line-up in the country. The company is testing the CNG powered Swift and the Dzire, which are expected to be launched in the next 6 months. The CNG versions will be powered by a 12L petrol engine. In CNG mode, the power and torque figures will drop by 11bhp and 18Nm respectively. The 2021 Maruti Swift CNG and Dzire CNG will offer power worth 70bhp at 6,000rpm and 95Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. No other changes will be made to the vehicles.
