The futuristic car concepts, showcased by different car manufacturers, are one of the major attractions at the Auto Expo 2020. And a few of them have been the talk of the town. Here, we have listed the top 8 concept cars that caught our attention at the event.

1. Maruti Suzuki Futuro-e

Maruti Suzuki India unveiled the Futuro-e SUV-Coupe design study at the Auto Expo 2020. The concept features raked windscreen, thick C-pillar and sharply cut windscreen enhancing its sporty silhouette. The LED lights arrangement looks different than the regular Maruti Suzuki cars. Inside, there is a wide screen display integrated on the dashboard. The SUV-coupe concept also gets a futuristic steering. Powertrain details of the vehicle are still under the wraps.

2. Tata Sierra SUV

Tata Motors revived the iconic Sierra nameplate with the all-new Tata Sierra EV concept. The concept pays tribute to the original Sierra SUV that was discontinued in 2000. The EV concept is based on the Alfa platform that also underpins the newly-launched Tata Altroz hatchback. The signature design bits like the curved over rear side windows are carried over from the original model. The concept has a sliding rear door on the left side.

3. Haval Vision 2025

China’s leading automaker, Great Wall Motors (GWM) unveiled the Haval Vision 2025 concept at the 2020 Auto Expo. The concept shows the brand’s futuristic design approach and technology for SUVs. It was first broke cover at the last year’s Shanghai International Auto Show. The Vision 2025 comes equipped with several advanced features such as an augmented reality head-up-display (AR-HUD) unit displaying information over the windscreen, cameras instead of ORVMs, facial and biometric recognition and more.

4. Haval Concept H

Haval Concept H from Great Wall Motors made its world debut at the Auto Expo 2020. It’s the plug-in hybrid SUV concept featuring a large chrome-lined grille, LED headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels and T-shaped taillamps. Interior of the Concept H is boasted with a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, an additional door-mounted touchpad for multiple functions, a large panoramic sunroof, forward collision alert system and autonomous emergency braking.

5. Volkswagen I.D.Crozz

Volkswagen I.D. Crozz Launch

The German carmaker unveiled the Volkswagen I.D.Crozz electric SUV concept at the biennial event. The four-door coupe carries futuristic LED headlamps, a wide bonnet, a slopping roof painted in high-gloss black colour and neatly contoured wings. Some of its key features include large sliding doors, multiple seating arrangement and CleanAir system. It comes with a 301bhp, electric motor delivering a range of 500km on a full charge.

6. Mahindra Funster

Mahindra & Mahindra unveiled its all-new Funster electric SUV concept that’s likely to preview the new-generation Mahindra XUV500. Similar to the XUV300 subcompact SUV, it features squared off front fascia. It also sports a muscular front bumper, bold side creases, large alloy wheels and open roof top. The concept has 5-seats layout.

7. MG Vision-i MPV

MG Vision-i MPV Concept

MG’s Vision-i MPV concept gives us a peek into the future of internet car. It has twin sliding doors, and offers very spacious cabin. One of the major highlights of the Vision-i concept is its 5G enabled interior and autonomous driving technology. It comes with multiple driving modes such as leisure, sleeping, education, meeting and driving. Some of its design highlights include multiple LED strips on the front, technical optical rim and simply designed taillamps.
