It’s raining discounts in the Indian automobile industry. Carmakers are offering heavy discounts on their select models to cash in on the 2022 festive season. India’s largest passenger vehicle manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki is offering attractive discounts and benefits on its top 5 hatchbacks including WagonR, Alto 800, Alto K10, Swift and Celerio.
Buyers can avail discounts up to Rs 31,000 on the Maruti WagonR hatchback (both manual and AMT variants). While the base trims are running on a discount of Rs 15,000, the range-topping trims are available with discount of Rs 5,000. The WagonR is currently available with the 1.0L and 1.2L Dualjet, Dual VVT petrol engines making 67bhp and 90bhp respectively. The hatchback’s CNG version uses a 1.0L petrol engine with a CNG kit delivering power worth 57bhp.
The Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 can be had with a discount of Rs 36,000 (only higher trims). The lower trims of the hatchback are running on discounts of up to Rs 11,000. Powering the small car is a 796cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine that offers a claimed mileage of 22.74kmpl. Its CNG version delivers fuel efficiency of 30.46km/kg.
The automaker is offering discounts and benefits of up to Rs 39,500 on the newly-launched Maruti Alto K10. Customers can avail offers on both manual and AMT variants. The discount breakup includes a cash discount of Rs 17,500, an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 and a corporate benefit of Rs 7,000. Based on the Heartech platform, the new Maruti Alto K10 comes with the 67bhp, 1.0L K10C petrol engine.
Maruti Swift is available with a total discount of up to Rs 47,000 (on AMT variants only). Customers can avail benefits of Rs 47,000 on the manual version of the hatchback. Currently, the Swift comes with a 90bhp, 1.2L DUaljet petrol engine and a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.
The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio manual variants are currently offered with benefits of up to Rs 51,000. It incudes a cash discount of Rs 30,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 6,000. The Celerio AMT and CNG versions can be had with discounts of Rs 41,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. Under the hood, the hatchback employs a 1.0L petrol motor making 67bhp.
