Top 5 Best Selling Compact SUVs In October 2018
The Maruti Vitara Brezza registered its highest ever monthly sales of 15,832 units in October, 2018.
October 2018 has been a profitable month for most of the car manufacturers in India, thanks to the festive season and new launches. Every segment has seen a decent growth, especially the SUV space. Here, we have listed the top 5 best selling compact SUVs of the previous month (October).
Ever since its launch, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza registered sales of over 3 lakh units and remained the highest selling car in its segment. The compact SUV recorded its first highest ever monthly sales of 15,243 units in July 2017, followed by 15,629 units mark in May 2018. The Vitara Brezza capitalized the 2018 festive season and managed to cross monthly sales mark of 15,832 units in October, 2018.
The second spot was grabbed by the Tata Nexon that recorded total sales of 4,608 units. The Nexon continues to take a lead over Ford EcoSport that stood at number no.3 with sales of 3,957 units. While the Tata Nexon crossed 25,000 units sales mark earlier this year, the Ford EcoSport is said to be close to 24,500 units. Honda’s WR-V managed to capture the fourth spot with sales of 3,253 units. If reports are to be believed, the Japanese carmaker is planning to bring in more powerful petrol version of the compact SUV. With total sales of 2,113 units, the Mahindra TUV300 became the 5th top selling compact SUV of October, 2018. The vehicle is now ready to receive a mid-life update sometime next year. The updated version of the TUV300 recently caught on camera during its test rounds in the country.
