In July 2022, the Indian two-wheeler segment will witness three major product launches from TVS, Hero and BMW Motorrad. TVS Motor Company will bring in a new cruiser that’s likely to be Ronin 225, while Hero MotoCorp will unveil its first electric scooter. BMW Motorrad will reveal prices and details of the fully-faired G310 RR based on the TVS Apache RR310. Here’re key details these upcoming bikes and scooter –
TVS Ronin 225
The Chennai-based two-wheeler maker has confirmed that it will launch a new motorcycle on 6th July 2022. While name and details of the model are yet to be revealed, it’s likely to be the TVS Ronin 225 cruiser. It will carry retro-styled circular headlamp and a round console with readouts like fuel level, odometer, speedometer and more. Powering the bike could be a 223cc, single-cylinder engine delivering a maximum power of 20bhp and 20Nm of torque. The motor will be paired to a 5-speed gearbox. More details here…
Hero Electric Scooter
Hero’s first electric scooter is ready to make its debut on 1st July under its new VIDA electric vehicle brand. The company has confirmed that new Vida electric models will be manufactured at its Green facility in Chittoor. Deliveries of the model will begin in late 2022. The upcoming Hero e-scooter will be positioned against the Bajaj e-Chetak, Ola S1, Ather 450X and Simple One. BMW G310 RR
Official bookings for the upcoming BMW G310 RR have already been commenced across the nation. The model will see a release on 15th July, 2022. As mentioned above, the new BMW bike will be based on the Apache RR310 with slightly different styling including tweaked headlamps and front disc brake. There will be two colour options – one with the conventional BMW HP-liveried one with Red and Blue accents over the White base and one with ‘Race’ moniker on the side fairings. Similar to the Apache RR 310, the BMW G310 RR will use the 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine making 34bhp and 27.3Nm. More details here…
