Despite rising fuel prices & semi conductor supply shortage, auto industry has posted positive sales numbers. Except for Maruti & Hyundai, most of the automakers have registered positive sales growth. Tata Motors retains the third position with over 42K sales, while Mahindra posted a massive growth with over 27K sales.
Here’s a list of top 10 selling cars from March 2022. The list has been dominated by three auto makers – Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Hyundai. Maruti Suzuki maintains its leads, as it grabbed six out of the top 10 positions in the list.

– Maruti Suzuki WagonR is the top selling car in the March 2022. The company sold 24,634 units of the WagonR last month as compared to 18,757 units in March 2021.
– Maruti Dzire and Baleno holds the second and third spot respectively. Maruti sold 18,623 units of the Dzire and 14,520 Baleno’s in the month of March 2022.
– Tata Nexon has been the best-selling SUV of the country for the past 2-3 months. It is currently the fourth best-selling car in the March 2022. The company sold 14,315 Nexon SUVs last month as compared to 8,683 units in March 2021.
– Maruti Swift and the Vitara Brezza stands at 5th and 6th position respectively. Maruti sold 13,623 Swifts and 12,439 units of the Brezza last month.
– Hyundai Creta is at 7th position with 10,532 units sold last month. It recorded a YOY sales decline of 17 percent. Hyundai Grand i10 is at 9th with 9,607 units sold last month with YOY decline of 12%.
– Tata Punch is the 8th best-selling car in March 2022. Tata Motors sold 10,526 units of the micro SUV last month, recording a MOM sales increase of 10 percent.
– Maruti Suzuki Eeco is at the 10th position with 9,221 units sold last month. It recorded a YOY sales decline of 20%.
