Tesla had announced that it will enter India by the summer of 2017. In fact, the carmaker has taken pre-bookings for the Tesla Model 3 electric sedan. However, the company postponed its plan due to strict government regulations. Talking about the matter, Elon Musk had said that Tesla couldn’t sell vehicles in India as they would need 30% of parts sourced locally, which isn’t feasible in the market.
