Tata’s Electric Engine ‘Ziptron’ Unveiled

Tata Motors has unveiled its all-new ‘Ziptron’ electric engine that will power the upcoming Tata Electric Cars. The Tata Ziptron powered electric vehicles will start to roll out in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2020. The new powertrain is claimed to deliver “zippy performance” and long range along with the fast charging capabilities.

Tata’s new electric engine has smart regenerative braking system that coverts kinetic energy lost while decelerating back into stored energy in the battery. Its battery will be offered with warranty of 8 years.

Besides unveiling the Ziptron, the carmaker has also introduced the ZIPTRON Freedom 2.0 campaign. It aims at highlighting how this technology breaks existing barriers and provides freedom from pollution, addresses range anxiety, and offers electrifying driving performance.
