The Tata Zest Sportz Edition celebrates 50,000 sales milestone of the car, and its 2 years of success in the Indian market.
Launched on 21st August 2014, the Tata Zest has now completed its two years in the Indian market. The sub-4 meter sedan has also achieved the sales milestone of 50,000 units. To celebrate the occasion, Tata Motors has launched the Sportz Edition of the car. The Tata Zest Sportz Edition comes with an accessory bodykit, which is available at dealership level at an additional cost. Buyers can opt any variant of the sedan to accessorize it with the new kit.
Besides introducing the Tata Zest Sportz Edition, the carmaker is also offering free insurance of Rs 33,000, a special EMI scheme of Rs 3,999/month, exchange bonus of Rs 30,000 and other benefits up to Rs 68,000.
On the exterior, the Zest Sportz Edition features bold tri-colour (Red, Black & Grey) body graphics, ORVM caps, side sill extensions, alloy rims and rain visor. The car also gets red paint job on the lower lip of front and rear bumper. Though, the overall design and dimensions of the car remain unchanged. Inside, there is standard dual-tone interior with 8-speaker Harman ConnectNext infotainment system and other features.
Since it’s just a special edition, no mechanical changes have made to the sedan. The car comes with two powertrain options – a 1.2-litre Revotron and 1.3-litre Quadrajet diesel. The former delivers power worth 90PS with 140Nm of torque, while the latter one is tuned to generate two power outputs – 75PS (MT) and 90PS (AMT). A 5-speed manual transmission come as standard, while the 5-speed AMT is exclusively offered on the 90PS diesel model.
