Launched around the festive season, last year, the Tata Zest has now completed its first year in the Indian market. To celebrate the occasion, Tata Motors has rolled out the Anniversary Edition of the compact sedan with 10 additional features. Available in the XMS model, in both petrol and diesel variants, the Tata Zest Anniversary Editions are priced at Rs. 5.89 lakh and Rs. 6.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. With benefits of worth Rs. 31,000, the Zest XMS special editions are Rs. 15,000 pricier than the regular models. Since, it’s just a special edition, only limited units will be sold in select cities from starting end of September, 2015.

Visually, the Zest Anniversary Edition adds new wheel covers, body-coloured front lower bumper, new hub cups, piano black ORVM and ‘Anniversary Edition’ theme body graphics and badge on C-Pillar. A new exterior color – Vocal White – is also on offer. Inside, the car gets Anniversary embroider on front seats, powered rear curtain with remote, bottle holder on floor console and scuff plate with illumination for front.
No mechanical changes have made to the car. Powering the Zest XMS petrol edition is the same 1.2-litre Revotron engine that delivers 88.8bhp of power and 140Nm of torque. While, the Zest XMS diesel edition will be powered by 1.3-litre Quadrajet engine, which is good for 88.8bhp and 200Nm of torque. Both the engines are paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
