Tata Tigor EV Facelift Spotted Testing; More Details Inside

Tata Motors will soon launch the Tigor EV facelift in the Indian market. The updated model has been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads. The new model will be inspired by the Tigor facelift launched last year. It is expected to be offered in two variants – Normal and Extended Range.

In terms of styling, the Tata Tigor EV facelift will receive blue highlights and an enclosed grille with the tri-arrow pattern. The charging socket will be placed in the grille. The cabin will also share the styling cues from the standard Tigor. It will have blue highlight inside the cabin along with the state of charge metre in place of the traditional rpm gauge.

It is expected to be offered with two battery packs – a 16.2kWh and 21.5kWh. The powertrain system features a 70V 3 phase induction motor that offers 41bhp and 105Nm of torque. While the extended model will have an ARAI certified range of 213km, the standard model will offer 165km range – 22km higher than the outgoing Tigor EV. It is likely to offer an electronically limited top speed of 80kmph.

Using standard charger, the extended range battery can be charged to 100% from zero in 11.5 hours. The battery will be charged up to 80% in 2 hours via a fast charger. The standard model’s battery can be charged fully in 8 hours using standard charger. The battery can be charged up to 80% in just 1.5 hours.

The base variant will get dual airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, automatic climate control, 14-inch steel wheels and a Harman-sourced audio system with Bluetooth connectivity. The sedan will offer two driving modes – Eco and Sport. The XT variant will ride on 14-inch alloy wheels. It will receive powered ORVMs, remote locking and body-coloured door handles & ORVMs.
