2020 Tata Nexon Petrol Specs

Tata Motors aims to expand its CNG model range in near future. Shailesh Chandra, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Managing Director, has revealed that the company is considering to roll out more CNG variants in all the relevant segments. While the carmaker hasn’t yet revealed names of its upcoming CNG models, it’s likely to be the Nexon, Punch and Altroz variants. The Tata Nexon CNG and Altroz CNG have already been caught testing with the emission testing equipment.

The Tata Nexon CNG is likely to come with the 1.2 Revotron turbo petrol engine with a factory fitted CNG kit. In the standard model, the gasoline unit delivers a claimed power of 120bhp and 170Nm of torque. The power figure of the CNG version is expected to be reduced by 15bhp. Transmission duties will be done by a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Tata Altroz DCT Bookings

The Tata Altroz CNG will be offered with the 1.2L turbo petrol motor with a CNG kit. The unit pushes out power worth 110bh and 140Nm of torque. However, the power and torque outputs of the CNG Altroz could be slightly lower than the standard model. The automaker is also reported to update the Harrier and Safari SUV model lineup sometime next year. Both SUVs are likely to come with the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) and a 360 degree camera. The infotainment units will also be updated.
