Tata Tigor EV To Be Available In Four Trims – Report

According to leaked information, the Tata Tigor EV will be offered in four grades – XE, XM, XT and XZ.

Tata Motors’s pavilion at the Auto Expo 2018 was surely the most sensational one. Major highlights of the biennial event were the Tata H5X SUV and Tata 45X premium hatchback concepts. Besides this, the home-grown carmaker showcased the performance-oriented and electric models of the Tiago and Tigor sedan. While the technical information of the Tata Tigor EV was revealed at the show, the trim details have been leaked now.

According to leaked information, the Tigor EV lineup will be available in four grades – XE, XM, XT and XZ. The company has already dispatched the first batch of the vehicle to EESL. However, there is no clarity whether the electric iteration of the sedan will be available for private buyers or not.

Power for the Tigor EV comes from a 216 Ah battery making 30kW at 4,500rpm. Using the standard charger, this battery can be fully charged in 6 hours. The fast charger can charge it up to 80% in 90 minutes only. It can offer an electric driving range of 130km, and a top speed of 100kmph. Read – Tata H7X SUV To Challenge Toyota Fortuner 

Similar to the regular model, the Tigor EV is 3,992mm long, 1,677mm wide and 1,537mm tall and has a ground clearance of 170mm. Some of its exterior features include projector headlamps, body-coloured door handles and ORVMs with LED turn indicators, 15-inch alloy wheels and split LED taillamps. The list of features include touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, rear power outlet, dual front airbags, parking sensors and camera, ABS with EBD, CSC, etc. Check Out – Upcoming Tata Cars in India

For the government tender, the company has priced the Tigor EV at Rs 10.16 lakh (without GST). The GST will make it a slightly costlier deal, i.e. over Rs 11.2 lakh. The vehicle is also offered to EESL with 5 years warranty.
