Tata Tigor XM iCNG Variant Launched; Price Rs 7.40 Lakh

Tata Motors has launched the new Tigor XM iCNG variant at a price of Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom price, Delhi). The company had introduced the CNG versions of the Tigor and the Tiago hatchback in early 2022. The company claims to have received overwhelming response for the new CNG line-up. In fact, the two models had posted their highest ever sales in July 2022.

The new model is the new entry-level trim for the Tata Tigor iCNG and is equipped with a host of safety and convenience features. It comes equipped with HarmanTM infotainment system with 4 speaker system, power windows, central locking, rear parking sensors and others. The new Tata Tigor XM iCNG variant is offered in 4 colour options – Opal White, Daytona Grey, Arizona Blue and Deep Red.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Rajan Amba, Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. said, “The Tigor has been an extremely special product for us and the addition of the iCNG variant has propelled our momentum further in the segment. Currently, more than 75% of the customer bookings of the Tigor are coming from the iCNG variant which is a testament to the robust demand of this technology in the Tigor portfolio. With the growing popularity of the Tigor iCNG and in line with our New Forever brand philosophy, the new Tigor XM iCNG will help us cater to new set of customers who have been wanting to experience our iCNG technology with an entry level trim. I am confident that this addition will further bolster our growth in this segment and the CNG space.”

The Tigor is the only sedan in India which is available in Petrol, Electric & CNG options, in both Manual as well as Automatic transmissions. It is powered by a 1.2-litre BS6 engine that produces 73.4PS of power at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 95Nm of torque. This is around 13PS and 18Nm less than the regular petrol variant. A 5-speed manual gearbox driving the power to the front wheels come as standard.
