Tata Tigor Electric Launched; Offers 213km Range

Tata Motors has now launched the extended range version of the Tigor EV electric sedan. The new model comes with a range of 213km, certified by ARAI. It is available in 3 variants – XE+, XM+ and XT+ – for both fleet and personal segment buyers. The Tata Tigor EV is available at a starting price of Rs 9.44 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi (price after deducting government subsidies).

The Tigor EV qualifies for a FAME II incentive for eligible commercial buyers. The company claims that the extended version offers an enhanced driving range, low cost of ownership, comfort of a sedan and zero emissions. Also See – Tata Nexon Electric Launch in 2020; offers 300km range

Tata Tigor Electric Rolled Out

The new Tata Tigor EV offers 2 driving modes – ‘Drive’ and ‘Sport’. Exterior design highlights include signature EV decals, revised front grille, new alloys, shark fin antenna and LED high mounted stop lamp. The cabin has dual-tone black and grey scheme, and features Harman-sourced sound system, single speed transmission, height adjustable seat and fabric seats. The Tata Tigor EV comes fitted with a 21.5 kWh battery pack, which offers significantly longer range of 213km. The battery cooling system is designed in a way to offer consistent performance in different temperature conditions. The car has 2 charging ports – fast charging and slow AC charging. Dual front airbags and ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) comes as standard safety features. The XE+ variant gets driver-side airbag as standard. The Tata Tigor EV offers a warranty of 3 years or 1.25 lakh kms, whichever is earlier.
