Tata Tiago, Tigor Updated With Full-Digital Instrument Console

Tata Digital Console (1)

Tata Motors is readying the facelift versions of the Nexon, Tiago and the Tigor. The updated models are likely to be launched before March 2020. A new media report claims that Tata Motors is all set to introduce a full-digital instrument console in the Tiago hatchback and the Tigor sedan.

The full-digital instrument console will replace the conventional twin-pod setup with analogue dials. The new upgrade will soon be made available to manual as well as AMT variants of the Tiago and Tigor. The top-spec XZ+ and XZA+ variants will come equipped with this feature.

The digital instrument console will come with a large centrally-mounted digital speedometer, a tachometer, digital clock, door ajar, key reminders, distance to empty indicator and other functions. The Tiago and the Tigor will be the newest models in the sub-10 lakh category to offer a fully-digital instrument console. Currently, the Renault Triber and the soon-to-be-launched Kwid facelift fitted with this feature.

The top-spec XZ+ variants of the Tiago and the Tigor are fairly equipped with features. The models are fitted with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 15-inch alloy wheels, projector headlamps, automatic climate control and power-folding outside rear view mirrors. The Tata Tiago will be the only model in its category to feature an all-digital instrument console. The hatchback directly rivals the Maruti Celerio, Wagon R and the Hyundai Santro. Similarly, the Tigor will be the only sub-4 meter sedan to offer this feature.

Tata Tigor Design Review

Tata Motors will soon introduce a special-edition Tiago Wizz, which will go on sale during this festive season. Adding to it, the facelift versions of the Tiago and Tigor are also under development. Both cars will come equipped with BSVI compliant petrol engine and won’t be offered with a diesel powertrain.
