Tata Motors dealers are offering a new variant of the Tiago entry-level hatchback. Called the Tiago Soccer Edition, the new variant gets few changes in the form of new body decals.
The Tata Tiago Soccer Edition is available at a premium of Rs 8,000. Going by the pictures, the new model will have grey and black exterior decals and blackened C-pillars for the decals. The ‘Soccer Edition’ lettering can be seen on the front doors.
The Tata Tiago is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of producing 85bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
Tata Motors is also readying the turbocharged version of the Tiago hatchback, which has recently been spotted testing by Bosh engineers in Bangalore. This entry-level performance model is likely to feature the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine tuned to produce 99bhp of power and 141Nm of torque. This engine is also likely to power the Tata Altroz Turbo, which has also been spotted testing in India.
The company is gearing up for the launch of the much-awaited Gravitas 6-seater SUV, which was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. Adding to it, the production version of the Tata HBX micro SUV will arrive in the first quarter of 2021. The company is also readying the Nexon petrol with DCT (Dual-Clutch Automatic Transmission).
