Tata Tiago NRG Receives Over 3,000 Bookings – Report
The Tata Tiago NRG is essentially the crossover version of the standard Tiago hatchback.
Tata Tiago NRG cross-hatch, which is touted as an ‘Urban Toughroader’, entered the market in mid September, 2018. Now, it’s been a month and the cross-hatch has managed to garnered bookings over 3,000 units. That means, the Tiago NRG has solved the carmaker’s purpose of further boosting sales of the Tiago hatchback.
In September 2018, the carmaker sold 8,377 units of the Tiago as compared to 8316 units of the same month last year. The hatchback registered its best monthly sales in August, with the range-topping XZ trims in the great demand. On the exterior, the Tata Tiago NRG gets black body treatment featuring black roof and roof rails, door handles and black wing mirrors. It also sports faux brushed-aluminium scuff plates, dual-tone 14-inch alloy wheels and additional trim pieces on the running boards. Under the hood, the Tata NRG features a 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol and a 1.0L, 3-cylinder diesel powertrains producing 84bhp with 114Nm and 69bhp with 140Nm respectively. Transmission options on offer are the same 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT unit.
