Tata Tiago JTP Bookings Open At Dealer Level
Tata Tiago JTP makes use of a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine tuned for better power and performance.
Tata Motors is all set to launch its first performance-oriented model – Tiago JTP in India, and we caught a glimpse of the vehicle at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. While the official launch of the Tata Tiago JTP is scheduled to happen in the next 8 weeks, dealers have started taking bookings for the car at sum of Rs 10,000. However, the official bookings will begin near its launch.
Developed jointly by Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives, the Tata Tiago JTP will be put up against the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS. Under the hood, the Tata Tiago JTP features a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that’s tuned to deliver more power and better performance. This gasoline motor pushes out a peak power of 109bhp and 150Nm of torque, thus making it 25bhp more powerful and 36Nm torquier than the regular model. Read – Upcoming Tata Cars In India
Transmission on offer is the same 5-speed manual unit. Though, the carmaker has optimized its gear ratios for better performance and handling. Suspension setup will also be tuned. Visually, the Tata Tiago JTP appears sportier than the regular model thanks to its revised grille, bumper, new foglamps and blacked out headlamps. The car also gets contrast finished ORVMs, new diamond cut alloys, a diffuser and sporty roof spoiler. Minor changes have also been made inside the cabin. The Tata Tiago JTP gets sporty black interior with new door panels. The black leather upholstery and contrasting red stitching add more its sporty appearance.
