Tata Tiago JTP And Tigor JTP Will Soon Get More Features
Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP are among the most affordable performance cars in India. Both models were first showcased at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, followed by their launch in October 2018. These are the first products developed jointly by Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives Pvt. Ltd. The 2019 Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP are reported to go on sale on coming 4th August. However, there is no official word on the same. Currently, the hot hatch comes with a price tag of Rs 6.39 lakh and the performance sedan costs Rs 7.49 lakh. With subtle feature upgrades, both models might see a minor price hike.
Talking about the changes, both models will receive a larger 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The hot hatchback will get an automatic climate control unit, which is standard on the Tigor JTP. The JTP performance models will come with automatic folding mirrors. No changes will be made under the hood. The 2019 Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP will continue to derive power from a 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbocharged Revotron petrol engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The gasoline unit produces a peak power of 112bhp with 150Nm of torque. Both models are claimed to do 0 to 100kmph in 10 seconds.
