Tata Tiago Achieves 2 Lakh Sales Mark In India
Tata Tiago comes in the price range of Rs 4.20 lakh – Rs 6.49 lakh.
Tata Motors today announced that its its highly-popular Tiago hatchback has crossed the 2 lakh sales mark in the Indian market. It took the hatchback 28 months to breach 1.7 lakh sales milestone, while the next 30,000 units were sold in just 4 months. The carmaker also introduced the performance-oriented version of the Tiago hatch – Tata Tiago JTP. The hatchback is the first Tata model based on the first-generation IMPACT design philosophy. Currently, the petrol variants of the Tiago are available in the price range of Rs 4.20 lakh – Rs 5.74 lakh and the diesel models cost between Rs 5.00 lakh – Rs 6.49 lakh. The home-grown carmaker will soon give a mid-life update to the Tiago hatchback. In fact, the carmaker has started testing the new Tata Tiago 2019 facelift that recently caught on camera. The updated version of the hatchback will receive minor design changes including new alloys, revised front grille, new bumpers, smoked headlamps and re-designed taillamps.
Inside, the new Tata Tiago 2019 facelift might get a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity. Engine setup is likely to remain unchanged. The facelifted model will continue to come with a 1.2L Revotron petrol and 1.05L Revtorq diesel engines generating power worth 83bhp with 114Nm and 69bhp with 140Nm respectively. It will also retain a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.
