Tata Motors is all set to introduce the new electric vehicle concept in the country tomorrow. It is expected to be the new Nexon based Coupe SUV, which is likely to arrive in 2022-23. The company plans to launch 10 new electric vehicles in the country by 2025. Tata is working on a completely new platform, which will underpin its future products.
The new Tata Nexon based electric coupe SUV will have distinct styling and is expected to measure close to 4.3 meters in length. The new model is expected to feature a bigger battery pack compared to the Nexon EV. It is likely to offer a range of over 400kms.
Tata Motors hasn’t release the name and details of the new electric SUV concept. Interestingly, the company has trademarked two new names – Tata Sliq and Curvv. Tata Motors could use the new names for the upcoming electric vehicles.
Tata Motors said that the core philosophy behind the new electric SUV concept seeks to go beyond the ordinary and explore the unknown. These new names resonate to the core philosophy. Moreover, Tata Motors will also introduce the Altroz and Punch based EVs in the market in the next 1-2 years.
The new Tata Nexon Electric Coupe SUV will also receive petrol derivatives in the near future. The Coupe SUV is likely to be equipped with a 40kWH battery pack that will soon be introduced on the long range Nexon EV. In the future, the Coupe SUV will come with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine at a later stage.

The teaser show gives a glimpse of the front, which has LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps) running across the width on the bonnet crease through the side and ending into the ORVMs. It has split headlamp setup with main headlights are placed on the lower bumper, and the headlamp unit is encased in a triangle shaped housing. It will have longer rear doors, tapering roof, and all-new rear end with a larger overhang.
